This bowl features a Kikyo flower (Japanese Bellfower, Balloon Flower)  motif on a powder white gloss glaze. The Kikyo flower is a Japanese flower that has been loved by the Japanese people since ancient times, and is mentioned in the Manyoshu (The Anthology of Myriad Leaves). The Kikyo flower represents endless or unchanging love, honesty, obeying a master or friend, and elegance.

This bowls deep shape is ideal for udon dishes and a variety of other soups, noodles, pasta, salads, and curry creations. 

Each piece has a unique and varied glaze. Slight irregularities in the glaze reflect the artisan nature of the product and are embraced. Presented in an individual box perfect for gifting.
