Karen is and artist who works with multiple mediums, acrylics, oils and collage. Painting each piece from her home studio on the South Coast of Wellington. She has recently discovered the phenomenal beauty and intricacies of flowers and has transitioned from painting expressive abstracts to predominantly florals.

She loves the unstructured and carefree way in which flowers grow naturally, and she tries to capture this in her work. Experimenting is key for her as this promotes discovery rather than repetition and therefore her artwork is always evolving. This results in a kaleidoscope of bold, vivid colours and different styles.
